February 1988 founded as La Stravaganza Salzburg by Siegbert Rampe and four other students at the former Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst Mozarteum in Salzburg;
instruments: transverse flute, 2 violins, violoncello, harpsichord

1989/90 concerts in Germany, Austria, Danmark, France and Switzerland

since 1990 exclusive contract with EMI Electrola; first CD production
(Handel: Trio Sonatas Opus 5)

1991 moved to Hamburg; changing its name to La Stravaganza Hamburg

since 1991 concerts as well as radio and tv productions in most countries of Europe

1992 CD production Bach · Musical Offering

since 1993 increased to orchestral formation. Leader: Gesine Hildebrandt (1993–1995); Ingeborg Scheerer (1995–1997); Margarete Adorf (1995–2002);
Henriette Scheytt (since 2002)
